Academic Projects
  • Vertical Extension of Civil Engineering Building This project designs a seven-story composite steel extension over an existing three-story RCC building (built in 1968) to create a ten-story structure without loading or altering the original frame. The new system uses independent steel columns and a mat foundation to bypass the existing structure entirely. Design and analysis followed BNBC 2020 (LRFD) using ETABS, IDEA StatiCa, and AutoCAD, with seismic evaluation per the PWD BSPP Manual (2nd Edition). Supervisor: Dr. Muhammad Abdur Rahman Bhuiyan, CUET
  • Engineering Classification of Soil, Sughandha R/A, Chittagong Using ASTM D2487-11 standard, a comprehensive geotechnical investigation was conducted for the Goribullah Shah Housing Society project site located at Sughandha Residential Area, Chittagong. The study involved fieldwork, laboratory testing, and data analysis to classify the soil types present at the site. The findings provide essential information for foundation design and construction practices.
  • Structural Design and Analysis of a Residential Building at PinkCity, Raozan, Chittagong, Bangladesh A complete structural design and analysis of a G+4 residential building located at PinkCity, Raozan, Chittagong, Bangladesh. The project includes load calculations, structural modeling using ETABS, and detailed design of beams, columns, slabs, and foundations following BNBC 2020 codes.
  • Water Quality Test of a Specified Location in Chittagong(Karnafuli River near Shah Amanat Bridge) This study assesses the surface water quality of the Karnafuli River through the analysis of eleven key physicochemical and biological parameters. Findings are evaluated against ECR 1997 (Bangladesh National Standards) and WHO guidelines to determine the river’s suitability for domestic and environmental applications.
