**Objectives:**

Determine the coefficient of discharge (Cd) of an orifice.

Determine the time required to empty a tank.

Plot the graph of discharge rate (Qa) versus time (t).

**Method:** The total time required to bring the water level from H1 to H2 is calculated using the formula: T = 2A / (Cd *2g* (H1 - H2)) Where, A = Area of the tank, Cd = Coefficient of discharge, g = acceleration due to gravity (981 cm/s^2), H1 = Initial height of the water level in the tank, H2 = Final height of the water level in the tank.
